My fuses in the engine compartment are numbered. The image is for a gas engine. Mine is a diesel.
I am not getting power out of one wire coming out of the fuse box. I'm just wondering if it might not be getting power to the fuse or relay or what color wire coming out of the fuse box goes to the injection pump?
Lonewolf in the schematic it shows the RED-LT GRN wire going into the fuel shutoff solenoid. It gets power from this FUSE K which also branches off to a RED-LT BLU wire that goes into the glow plug controller. If there is no power with key on to the RED-LT GRN wire from FUSE K...
i assume both the fuel shutoff solenoid and glow plug controller will both not have power with the key on correct?
Also the RED-LT BLU wire coming from the engine temp switch...is it a power wire with key on as well getting its power from FUSE K and the RED-LT GRN wire and causing the cold idle solenoid to not have power if FUSE K has no power with the key on?
Also do you have the electrical schematic from what i can only assume is the ignition switch to FUSE K? I know there are a lot of questions in here and i thank you for helping me. I'm trying to understand my truck.
1992 schematic of your truck NOTE: Fuse "K" [/QUOTE]
terminal "I1" on the Ign switch feeds fuse "K" it also feeds fuse "17" in the under dash fuse box IF fuse "17" has power then it is not a problem with the IGN switch.
the wire colour is Red-Lt Grn from fuse "K" to the terminal "I1" on the Ign switch.
one other Tip that Red-Lt Grn wire that comes from terminal "I4" on the ignition SW also Feeds Fuse "U" .. the easiest thing to do is use a test light and check power on Fuse "K" and Fuse "U" .. IF no power then start looking at the firewall connectors.
in this Image "I1" is listed instead of "I4" <<== not sure how I saw I4 on the schematic...old eyes
EDIT: my bad it is called "I1" ...so I will fix my posts to reflect the change... I4 is I1

Reason: correcting information
I checked the power on the fuse you're telling me about it has power at the fuse 12.4V the 12 pin connector coming out of the box towards the engine there are two wires that have no power coming out of that with the key on.
Do you think if i uploaded photos it might help? My fuse has a number instead of a letter.
well the Red/ LT Green wire from fuse K goes right thru that connector... I assume you mean the 12 pin that has only 10 connections used the last 2 holes are plugged....that is the Glow plug harness....so IF you don't have power to it BUT you have power on both sides of Fuse K then you are close to your problem. Inspect that harness.
I'll post a photo tomorrow of the harness and the under hood fuse box. My 12 pin connector plug connector comes from under the fuse box located inside the engine bay (drivers side) my 12 pin uses all 12 holes and plugs. Maybe pictures will help explain it's just too dark here to take photos right now.
