Hello, I was wondering if anyone had a schematic for a 2020 6.7 ecm? I work on avionics and electronics systems on aircraft. I see these government type lawsuits. The only "fix" that I can see for them is one of two things. Create a "blank sheet ECM" and write software for it. Able to be used on multiple platforms of course. Or create a harness and keep the project open source. If its open source "you can't stop the signal". If you make it where any monkey can order up some wire and a few connectors, and then flash their stuff to whatever they want. You can not stop that. with the prices for "tuners" climbing. Might as well just buy an ecm. I have one on order. My plan is to write a virtual machine for it. I know its going to take many hours on the laptop. Another reason for having it be open source. I am almost of the mind that it would be easier to build a new ecm instead of reverse engineering the oe one. I do not know how much is piggybacked onto the ecm other than engine management. Security, entertainment, etc.. But I shall soon find out. What I am looking for is well anything that I could use in this endeavor. I am not talking specifically about deletes and such, but my opinion is that "if you own the product, do what the **** you want with it". anyway rant over, any data would be appreciated.
Well guys it would seem I have done one better. I have found a ford factory ECM that is reduced in weight from the factory. more details to follow in the coming weeks.
OK, So I work on base. They use a very shortened f350 to tow aircraft ground support equipment with. I noticed that they did not have a DPF, or use DEF. I did not get more than a quick look under the hood. So I can't tell you if the EGR is there. I was laser focused on trying to get the ECM part number. I was not able to view it easily. I am waiting for another opportunity to peak under the hood with a mirror and flashlight. The trucks come from the factory without the DPF. I don't know if that means that they are the lower hp versions or not. I do know that there are zero lights and codes. These are base model trucks with a very limited amount of things on the bus. There are 2020 trucks in their fleet for 100% according to the build dates. Considering what is required of these trucks(combat zone usability). I am quite certain that the "handshake" that ford uses does not exist on these trucks. You have to be able to just swap out a ecm in a hostile zone if need be. I have the required access and Identification to be able to order one of these ECMs if I can get the part number. So this to be continued, maybe someone who is active duty with greater access than I have can chime in?
Interesting that the military gets a pass on emissions equipment and the rest of us are forced to comply with the EPA. Will the EPA shut down the military because they use engines similarly configured for off road and race car use?

I think the key here is, these vehicles will never be subjected to on-road usage, hence the emissions exemption.

Then why do diesel tractors have DPFs? The EPA is really out of control as of lately. Do a Google search for the RPM Act as it pertains to off road vehicles.
