Did I Do This Right ?

I welded in a CPP mustang kit, the directions said to mount the cross member a certain distance back - then mount the spring towers another 7/8 back for power steering castor. Is this right?

I am not sure without seeing the instructions myself but ain't it kinda the wrong time to ask if you already welded it in?

I can’t tell if It is in the perfect spot relative to the crossmember but you are correct in having the longer side of the hat towards the front. It helps stabilize things when braking and steering.

Is the part I circled towards the front? It looks that way based on your steering rack location. That tall part should be on the front side to help with anti dive. At least that was what TCI and Heidts showed in their instructions.

You are good, with the top hats set back as you have them it already gives you some positive caster you'll be looking for. If I remember their instructions say the can be mounted straight centered, 3/8" back for manual steering and up to 7/8"' back for power steering. I called and talked to the tech department for reassurance before welding mine in.

I misread the question and I agree with previous post. Sorry for the confusion!
