I changed my fuel filters on my 2014 F250 for the first time since I bought it used. The bottom filter was easy.
The top filter I could remove by turning counterclockwise and lifting up but with some difficulty.
The new filter would not slide in easy at all. I had to get a rubber mallet and slightly tap it to seat before turning clockwise. I then had to use a large pair of channel locks to turn it back into position.
The only thing I can think of is that I bought the fuel filter set about 6 months ago and had stored the filters in the carport shed. Maybe the heat expanded the plastic?
Or just slight manufacturing issues. It gets a lot hotter in that engine bay in the summer towing 10k. I'm guessing the 2014 doesn't have the 7mm nut or whatever size it is? I loosen that and replace, twist back in place with ease. I vaguely remember folks mentioning Ford removing this feature at some point.
I only get mine from my dealer. I may spend a little more but my parts guy is super cool and gives me a discount. I am so mad at Amazon that I refuse to go there anymore. Did you hear that they had to change there app logo? looked like Hitlers mustache.Amazon jumped right up and changed it. I refuse to shop at any Woke company.
The Motorcraft set from woke Amazon is $54 and change. Free ship.
From village ford parts, it's $68 and change. Not free ship.
From the link above:
2 pack is $52.88 each
3 pack is $52.95 each
4 pack is $52.88 each
5 pack is $51.95 each. plus shipping...
I need to order a spare housing like I've always wanted to so I should have my return coming in soon and think I will order at least a 3 pack plus the housing, drain plug and sensor... just because schit happens. I always listen to Murphy.

Dave,
Dieselfiltersonline had free shipping on orders of $200 or more, not sure if that is still the case.. I'd usually order enough supplies for 2 years (6 oil, 2 air, 2 fuel filters) to make that $200 threshold.
I compared both old and new fuel filters and both look identical to the part I pulled out.
The old fuel filter in the engine baby was a bit difficult to remove. I made sure to check that there was no band clamp to loosen.
I did apply a dab of grease on the outside of the engine bay fuel filter to help get it in but still had to use a rubber mallet to slightly tap it down before turning it to lock it in.
I think from now on I will only buy oil and fuel filters from the dealer.

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll do that with the spare housing/parts, fuel filters and some oil filters. Then this way I'll be set for a long time and supporting a company where I know I'm getting legit Motorcraft parts.
@tradosaurus I'd check out the online Ford dealers. You might get a better price. Or see if your dealer will match the cheapest price you find online.
