Ok, bear with me guys. Like I said I'm not a tech savvy guru. I tow a small utility trailer for hauling my small zero turn mower and a 16ft boat trailer from time to time...both less than 1000 lbs. I see under 'Towing" there is a "Select Trailer" but it doesn't tell me how to do this nor is it in the owners manual. Is it necessary to do this and if so, how do I do it? Sorry to be such a pain...but thanks in advance.
1000#, don't worry about it. Plug it in and put the pedal to the medal. jk, Do you know how to navigate through the various screens? What truck do you drive, including trim level?

That feature is for people who own multiple trailers and want to keep track of individual mileage. Changes nothing related to power or pulling, just informational.
Nice
Maybe just make sure you get close to the right drop on your hitch, I'd guess a 5" drop, that's what makes my Lariat setup work for my smaller stuff I tow. Even the smaller trailers need to be fairly level for best towing. Good luck backing the little utility trailer, I hate backing my little guy.
I think that is for like if you have multiple trailers you can set the different trailer brake gains for them and then switch back and forth without changing the gain settings all of the time.
