running boards

I am looking for some running boards for my 11 f150 crewcab. i would like some that hang down from the truck a good amount and would help us older people actually get into the truck.
Also would like a grab handle for the drivers side if possible.
looking at pictures are not a great help, and i can not find that info when looking online, any ideas, or suggestions?

I had some on my old superduty that hung down 4 inches or so, and really helped. my truck does not have a lift.
Thanks

A set of electric running boards that come on the platinum f150 would be a great choice. They serve my needs well.. A used set for about $250.

4 words, Amp Research power boards. I have a set on my truck and my 86 y/o mom can enter and exit easily even with a 4" lift and 35" tires. Here's a couple pics before I put the lift kit and bigger tires on. Deploys when you open the door, down and out 4" and tucks under when you close it just like oem except better. Mine have been working flawlessly for 6 years or so. Oh and they come with led puddle lights so you don't step into something at night getting out. Took me about an hour to install them.

ok, i am sure that 1200 for the amp boards are not in my budget, buy look great. one off of a platinum would be in the $ range at 250. where would i look to source these? and what would i need to make it function. not even going to attempt adding a handle if it is that involved.
thanks

Yeah the Amp boards are pricy but the only powered option if your truck did not already come equipped as the electronics involved to make oem boards work come from the factory. It's all programmed into the body control module and ensuing wiring harness that must be already equipped on the vehicle. In 2011, the Lariat did not have that option.

Amp boards come with it's own harness and module for control. All non powered boards from Ford are tucked way too high and tight to be of any real use with a slight exception to the Raptor boards, those are still high and tight to the body but offer better step traction than the standard oem tubes like my and most other trucks originally come with.

Your only option is to choose an aftermarket alternative, powered being the best available. Good luck in your search.

Facebook market place is a good place to look. What's your location? I know a guy in Alabama who has a set for 250
