After verifying that I love the Excursion by purchasing a 2000 2WD V10 and driving it for the past two years, I decided to try to find a 4WD 7.3L with no rust. That proved to be a very difficult task with still wanting to keep the price under $15K. Out of luck, my uncle was shopping for a BMW on eBay and ran across this beauty! They pretty much serviced the entire truck, new suspension, new batteries, new headlights and taillights, new spark plugs and coils, new brakes, rotors, and calipers, and new tires. I negotiated the price to $13K. It has some miles, but with the 7.3, it's just getting broken in. I'm going to swap the limited leather seats (including the 2nd row captains chairs I plundered from a local junkyard) from my 2000 and install them in this one. Pretty stoked and can't wait for it to be shipped.
Looks like a great Ex, good luck to you. I like the idea of swapping out your seats and any other incidentals that might need upgrading on your new ride and then donating the other one where it is needed and will still be in service.
new spark plugs and coils,....................... I negotiated the price to $13K. It has some miles, but with the 7.3, it's just getting broken in. .....................This will be my first diesel, but I've been reading and watching quite a bit here, so I think I'm ready.
So if the two parts i have underlined are true and what the other guy said, then the part in red is absolutely false if you didnt catch onto it.
Nice looking EX! I was perusing the bay and saw that one. Took the time to look through it. Im sure you'll like it and everyone here will help you spend some money on it.

I caught that also on the OP.
the eBay listing says 7.3 turbo diesel and the pictures under the hood definitely show a 7.3. Hopefully all is well with the truck.
