A few questions, if anybody can help.
Have a 68 f100 and i am wondering where to find a replacement for a part. Its the one that connects the hood support to the cab. Havnt removed it yet, but have a rust hole through it. Would be replacing the 3ish bolts that attach the hood support to it as well, any new sets out there or will I be able to just size the bolt and buy a replacement? I have looked around for this part but cant seem to find it on LMC or other sites. Could just be me.
Also the hood supports can use a replacement....some of the replacements i have found include the whole inner fender, some are just the top part. My question is, if I get just the top part, would it need to be welded to the rest of the inner fender?
Finally, i am curious what reputable places to look for these replacements (and ship to Canada). LMC has been great for many parts but body panels seem to be pricey...do you get what you paid for or do you get the same thing for cheaper elsewhere? Has anybody ordered from Mill Supply? They seem to be reasonably priced.
eventually I will need floors, cab mounts and inner fender/hood supports to begin with...probably more.
If you are talking about the cab support bracket which attaches the inner/outer fender to the cab, they are not reproduced anymore. You would need to source them from a donor truck. Also, you can try Dennis Carpenter for sheet metal and etc. _ Tony.

Ive attached a photo of the part, circled in red. (Not my truck, just found on google). Its the yellow painted part that attaches the cab to the inner fender/hood support. Is this the ‘cab support bracket’?
Hunter Green, Yes, but I will have to correct myself. It's called the front inner fender to cowl support per flashbackf100.com website. What I understand, they are not reproduced anymore. _ Tony.
Thanks Jefffafa and Laczar, the reason this forum is the place to come.
that explains alot. New to this so it is wierd to me that they reproduce some parts a lot and some they don’t at all.
i havnt called green sales, but plan to have both the same, so hopefully find a good pair from someone parting out. Keep me posted if anybody has any leads!
