Went change gaskets on carb. Found this. Had a hose hooked to carb and other hose is not there at all. Been told four different things. Was looking to replace. Don't know where the other line was routed to. Might delete it if I can.
It was for the heat tube going to your choke. if you're running an electric or manual choke it's useless to you. if you still have the thermostatic choke I think they make a tube kit to repair it.
If your choke has a wire going to it then it's electric.
What you're seeing was the old system that pulled heat off the crossover to warm the coil and open the choke. the lines you're talking about rusted or got broken by mechanics and often like yours they're gone. the electric choke works in the same way but all it needs is a 12v wire to heat the coil.

Unless it is the original which was electric assist and used the 6v side of the alternator stator and the heat tube to regulate.
If it is a Holley choke it is almost certainly fully electric. Where does it source its power?
If fully electric you can get a block off plate for where the heat stove was connected.
