Better check the size of the holes. Lots of the adjustable channels have gone to 11/16" holes instead of the old 5/8". The bolts also need to be torqued completely.

That would concern me for sure! Do the bolts fit in the channel holes tightly? If they are loose in the channel and hitch both, and upsized bolt may be your friend, and a couple shims for the side to side. I don't think it is going to be an "machinist" fit with no discernible slack at all, but it should definitely be better than that!

I took the trailer back to the dealer. Hopefully they can get some/most of the slop out of the hitch.

Dealer fixed the hitch. Job well done - no movement what so ever.

The dealer welded inside the "U" part of the section that is attached to the trailer, and then ground the welds a little so the coupler would fit tightly in. That stopped the side to side movement. Then they welded steel at the back of the coupler to stop the up and down movement. The entire coupler fits in very tight, and I am good with what they did.
I do not understand why H&H manufactured the hitch like they did. Thanks for all your help.
