'03 Expy Alarms
What is the simpliest electronic alarm to add my 03 FX4 Expy?
Either on my own or via a dealer. I have seen on The Ford Collection website, something called the Vehicle Security System 4, for vehicles with keyless entry (p/n:F3AZ19A361C).
I am not concerned with remote start. I just want something to go off if the vehicle is broken into.
How about Crutchfield's Crime-Guard AL-100C? Anyone know anything about this device? It appears that it just plugs into my Expy's keyless entry system, and voila!
Any thoughts or experiences with alarms on Fords out there?

there is a part made by dei that will inface with a stock alarm and give shock protection. i am not sure of the part number. find a local dealer at dei.com. they sould have it. it hooks to three or four of the factory wires and you have shock protection. the 03 should alread have vats on it so they sould not be able to steal it. but they can still get in. the shock will make the alarm go off before they get in the car in most cases.
