I am going to get this addressed asap, don't want to have any issues in the next few years. It sounds like the kind of problem that will only get worse with time, especially with flexing the chassis over dirt roads.

My 2020 truck was built 10/12/20 the day before. I hope I'm ok. Time will tell.

For those saying they want to do right away the letter won’t go out until April and the recall isn’t showing from my understanding on Fords recall site. Dealer won’t do until they have parts and recall letter tied to your vehicle.

Yeah, I meant as soon as the notice is sent. I wonder if it is all trucks, or if only cert VINs will be affected?

My 450 falls into this as well. I've tried to pinpoint that noise and had narrowed it down to the trim piece on the door in front of the window on passenger side. Guess I had not narrowed it down enough.

LOL

Mine was built 10/07/20.... just outside of the window, so unless they expand the window, I think I'm good.

I doubt every single truck has a leaking windshield. I'll roll the dice and deal with it if it starts leaking. Not worth the risk given all the stuff that can get screwed up or scratch up.

My 2020 F-350 built the first week of this recall ..
No glove box rattle or water leak that I have seen ..
I wonder if Ford is planning to remove and reinstall all
of these windshields ?? Like someone upthread said
they can't all have the problem !!

im sure its remove existing and install new. Can you removed a windshield without breaking it? IDK . Then the removal of existing sealant. I would think labor wise and quality control ..it would be a new windshield

If there isn’t a timeframe where I need to get this done, I wonder if I can wait 6 months or a year when I get the inevitable rock chip that cracks across the windshield. Let Ford replace a cracked windshield under recall.

Absolutely. I had a chip/crack in my 07 F-150 windshield. The mom & pop place where I had it replaced had the old one out and on the floor intact (less the original damage) in just a few minutes. I missed seeing how they did it. And junk yards will sell windshields, too. The adhesive comes off with a razor blade and some work. Makes me think they will reinstall the existing glass. One of the robots must have been out of calibration.

A high school "buddy"... his Daddy bought $1000 worth of used auto glass to keep him from out of jail for throwing rocks at the salvage yard's inventory.

This guy pulls windshield out of 2019 F-150 in under 10 minutes. Uses some interesting tools.

This affects my 2020 Tremor Lariat. I wonder how the recall fix will those like me with the windshield wiper de-icer option. Will they replace existing or get new, with what I believe is an electrical strip. Also, will they re-attach the electrical connection correctly. I have little hope and foresee issues.

This recall might have nothing to do with water leaks and more to do with structural integrity and airbags in an accident.
