Spark Plug Location
I am certain most of you will think this is a silly question but-
I want to change the plugs in my 2001 4.6 Triton Expidition-
I can't see the distributor or any plug wires from the top- are they hidden from view some where? Please help. Thanks

Hi Bill and welcome to FTE 
They are located on thop of the engine near the valvecovers. Your truck has 8 coils, one on each plug) and no distributor or plug wires.
The COP's (Coil On Plug) have green stickers on the top on them I believe.
The spark plugs are under these.
There was a Good thread on how to replace them, but I can't find it now.
Maybe someone can help me out here. Where did the thread go?

"how to" article that would be exceptional. Otherwise I will hunt for those green stickers. Come to think of it- when they told me that my cylinder 6 ws missing- they mentioned the coil pack could be a problem also- is it complicated to replace a coil pack? Wow, the days of the distributor and plug wires are gone? Wow. Bill

The COPs frequently fail. There is a lot of discussion about this on the Expedition/Navi forum. Here is a good plug change procedure:
