So I'm still wracking my brain and killing my wallet I replaced a water pump the truck ran fine with the old one after I put the new one in I now have serious misfire issues as well as the check engine light on I had an issue with the glow plug relay so I replaced all the plugs the relay the complete UVCH harness the ICP sensor had oil in it so I replaced that and the crankshaft sensor. There is no change I've checked all fuses none are blown I've hit the proverbial brick wall with this truck, the previous owner ran it into the ground I've put about 2000 dollars worth of parts in this thing and I'm ready to send it to the scrap yard. Every time I fix something on the possessed truck something else totally unrelated pops up. I've gotten some good advice on here for which I'm grateful I hope someone can point me in the right direction to get this thing running correctly. I want to say thanks in advance.
At this point, getting information from the computer (PCM) is my vote for next steps seeing as something is complaining enough to set the dash light. So best bet is to pull the code and go from there. For getting PCM information, the hand-held cheap-o devices will show basic error codes, but it is better to get software such as FORScan which can also read sensor inputs in real time.
Based on the description, would not surprise me if code(s) point to either the UVHC ir its wiring.
