So after having my truck stolen and recovered a month later I've decided to add a hidden switch to lock out the shifter when the brake pedal is depressed, I am sure that one of the five wires attached to the brake pedal will accomplish this, So far I have eliminated the pink wire, so that leaves four more wires to try, when Ive figured this wiring out I will share which color wire needs to be spliced to add this .99 cent anti theft deterrent

Didn't MacGyver say something like never cut the red wire, or was it the green? Crap we're gonna a stick of chewing gum for this. I did find this thread that seems similar to what you're talking about maybe it will help.

I should've waited for youre alls help and could've avoided my butchery, Anyway RED wire w/ GREEN TRACER is the shifter lock out. So that's where Ill be adding my hidden switch, I believe its a cheap and simple theft deterrent,
