Found engine for build

Was looking for a late 99 or 2000 engine. But found a 1995 engine with only 82k original miles. It came out of a township/village truck.
Should of had decent maintenance and not worked hard.

I believe that there are some differences between the two but I am not sure what all they are. I'm thinking mechanical fuel pump for one and something makes me think that there is something with less bolts in it, maybe the plenums? And I think the oil pickup is different too. And it's too bad you're way out there, I wouldn't mind offloading one of my blocks out there.

Yes there is a mechanical pump in the valley. Just remove pump and put a freeze plug in its place.
And yes, intake plenums are smaller and have less bolts.
I think the oil pickup is the same. But not 100% sure.

If I was going for a horsepower build, i would put different plenums on and spyder. But since I'm not i'll probably just still with the obs set up
I'm in michigan, thats only an 8-9 hour drive 😁
