Blower Fan Died

My heater core was old, dripping, and leaking, causing coolant vapors to enter the cabin, so I intended to remove it.

Do people still repair these?

Around that same time, the blower switch stopped working.
The blower and cables lie above the heater core, so vapor could have affected it.

What's the most common point of failure on a blower circuit?

How about listing WHAT you're working on? Year, make, model, chassis, mileage---pertinent facts IOW!

Anything between the battery or chassis electrical to the blower motor could be the problem. Coolant vapors haven't caused any failure so you want to obtain a schematic for your unknown chassis and year then trouble shoot the entire blower motor circuit.
