I'm sure this has been discussed but I searched and didn't see anything recent. I just bought a 2021 F350 Lariat which came with 275/65R20E OWL ALL-TERRAINS. Absolutely love the truck but I'd like a slightly more aggressive tire. Can I go a little bigger tire with the stock wheels? I'd rather not lift it but I will if I have to. Any size or brand suggestions would be appreciated.
Many people have gone to a 35" tire without issues. you should look at the 295/65-20. lots of people running them and they seem to agree that it fills the fender wells nicely.
As far as the brand and type of tire, that is a whole other can of worms. Kinda depends on what you plan to do with the truck i.e on road all the time, some off pavement, etc.
I had the stock LTX AT2' s removed before my 2020 F350 left the lot. Those tires can get you stuck in wet grass. I run all terrain T/A's 35 x12.50x20 without any issues. they fit just fine, look a lot better too.
Stock wheels are 18" on my F 250. But I moved up from a LT275/70R18 (33.2" height) to a 325/65R18 (34.6") with no problems. Lock to lock it clears the Ford molded mud flaps and there's no rub anyplace. Fills the wheel well much nicer. As an aside, when my BFG KO2's wear out I think I'll keep the height but go to just a little narrower footprint. I find that the wider tire will ride up on top of snow, spin, and then you might be stuck.
I think you'll find that you can step up more than you'd think without a lift or level. Just remember to adjust your speedometer by adjusting tire circumference with FORScan or buying one of the devices that installs to your truck.
I knew when I ordered my F-250 that the OEM tires would not fit the bill, I up graded one size to the Michelin so I would not have a spedo issue
And from past experience I also up graded the wheels as they are a 1/2" wider then OEM making the F-250 corner rather nicely, staying with the
same size I gained about an inch
I had the stock Michelin's 20's on my 2019. Dropped them at 300 miles for Stock Size BFG KO2's. Decent tire but, ride was super rough. Even with upgraded shocks, you could feel the smallest of bumps in the road and it was just an unpleasant experience. At 10k miles, I swapped out the 20's for 18's on 18x9 rims. Went with 295/70-18, They are the same height at the stock 20's so I didn't have to worry about a lift or mess up my gear ratios. They stick out just a touch which is what I was looking for. It's a much better ride now! When the wife says the truck rides much nicer, you know I got it right. LOL
I have always liked Yokohoma tires so that is what I put on my 2020 F250 Lariat 7.3. Yokohoma XAT3 LT305-70R18 Load Range E. They ride good and have a slight whine at about 50 and above. I was going to put Nitto Ridge Grapplers on because they are totally quiet and took less weight to balance. My next tires will be the Nitto. The Nittos you see in the picture have 20,000 miles and have only worn 3/32". The Jeep weighs 500lb less than the F250. The Yokohomas don't rub at all. The front is lifted with Tremor springs, Shocks, 1" spacer, and Tremor Spoiler. The wheels are ICON 8.5" width with stock backspace. I hope that this info helps.

So i have just put on a set of yokohama XAT3's as of last week. Size is 295/70-18. This tire is a departure from the BFG Ko2's that i usually run but so far so good. They are quiet and seem to do the trick.
UPDATE: Thanks for all the info and advice. I decided to go with the Yokohama XAT's size 35x12.5x20. I ordered them from Tire Rack. They just emailed me to make sure I knew these tires have a max inflation of 65psi while the stock tires go up to 80 psi. They both have a load range of E. Does anyone see this as a problem?
UPDATE #2: I kept the same model tire Yokohama Geolander XAT, just changed size to 295/65/20. That brought the max tire pressure up to 80 psi and their max load is 4080 lbs, which is higher than the stock tires.
