no radio lights

Hello all, My 99 F250 4x4 powerstroke radio lights do not work.
The radio is the am/fm cd/cass everything else works on it but can't tell what station or the time. No other problems with the truck besides that. Any ideas

This is a bulb buried in the radio somewhere that burned out. When you take your truck to the dealer, they will remove it, and send it to a local contracted shop who will replace the bulb, send it back to the dealer who then reinstalls it for you.

Call your service department, find out who does that work in your local area, and go to them directly. Often times, they can do it while you wait, especially if you call them and make an appointment.

You will probably save $$$s as well.

It happened to me on my last truck and I was on my way in 30 minutes and didn't have to drive my truck around with a wound in the dash for a week or two.

Where is the bulb????

No clue here, maybe someone else has performed that surgery and can help.

If the whole face went out it might be a connection for the LED. From what my electronics guy says the green light needs more than 12v and upon increasing it a connection goes bad. I went around like that on mine for more than a year. When i was gettin other stuff done he mentioned it. Went back and had it done just to see if he was right. You might want to contact an electronics shop or the dealer to see if anyone else has the same fix. Hoe it helps.

Oh ya, the fix is just a drop of solder. But, where?
