Hi all, I recently purchased a new to me 2020 2.7 supercab 4x4 with the sport appearance package, 3.55 rear end with 12000 km(7500 miles). I traded a 2018 2.7 4x4 supercab on my current truck, I bought the 2018 new and it had close to 30,000 miles on it when I traded. The old truck had fantastic power and was in my opinion, great on gas. I was expecting more of the same from my new one but so far I am disappointed in the performance of the truck. It is lacking in power over the old one and is much harder on fuel. I am wondering if anyone else has traded an older model 2.7 for a 2019-2020 model and noticed any difference in power/feel and fuel economy? I can't find any information on the subject through various searches online and any input from 2020 owners would be greatly appreciated.
Both the 2018 and 2020 are second generation, so should be MOL the same. Differences could come from the trim level of the truck (IOW weight), rear differential, and maybe the transmission programming. Your 2018 was yours from the get-go, so the tranny learned you. Maybe you should reset the tranny learning to see if you can teach the new truck who you are?

I had it at the dealership today for an oil change and they also checked for any tsb's about my issue and they said there was nothing but I will schedule a further appointment to have my truck scanned to see if they can find anything. They mentioned something about a reset, I also texted a friend of mine that is a mechanic at the shop and he is going to check tomorrow and see if he can find anything. It actually feels like a normally aspirated V6, it downshifts to 8th quite easily in any sort of hills and my old never did that. They are both supercabs with a 3:55 rear end.
