SYNC 3 system doesn't turn off with ignition. HELP!!!

I recently had my 2017 F350 DRW at Fallon Ford for a couple of different problems, one of which was my Sync 3 system not taking an update. The system worked fine for the most part before they had it; when I got it back, the screen had changed to include a climate button, most everything had moved on the display, my steering wheel buttons with the exception of the volume control didn't work, and the system now refuses to turn off when I shut the truck down. I have gotten everything corrected through forscan, except for the no shut down. The only way I have found to get this sucker to turn off is to pull the fuse, otherwise it'll drain the batteries if the truck isn't driven for a day, and require a jump start. Where should I start looking to get this right? No DTC's were present in scan of APIM, PCM, BodyCM, and BECMB

I have absolutely no faith in the dealership that serviced my truck, and the other three dealers within striking distance are over a month out to get it looked at, let alone repaired if parts are needed, so I'd prefer fix this in my own shop if at all possible...not to mention, this truck gets worked hard almost every day, and the loss of revenue is enough to just live with the problem until trade time later this year (200k miles).

I'd take it back and make them fix it.

with my 2020 f250 (and 2018 f150) you can push the power button in with no key in the ignition and the radio will play for 20 mins or so… maybe something related to that….

If they knew what they were doing, yes. He has lost faith in them with good cause. The kid who washed my car and scratched it I wouldn't let him fix the scratches.

If I push the power button again on my ‘19 the system shuts off.

Have you tried pushing the power button to turn it off? Much easier than pulling a fuse until you get it looked at.

The audio turns off when I push the power button, however the sync screen stays active even after that.

not on my truck. It stays on with door open. Drains the battery if left for a day or more.

Try a reset?

Try a reset yet?

Press the Volume / Power **** and the "next track" button at the same time for 5 seconds. The
SYNC unit will power down and restart.

Same issue started today with me. No matter what I do, the actual screen will not shut off when I turn the vehicle off and leave.

First, it stopped keeping my preferences of 4 preset pages a couple of months ago. Then I noticed today that none of my phones / Bluetooth settings were saved anymore. And now it won’t shut down when I turn off the truck and leave. I’ve done the power / fwd. I’ve opened door. Tried hitting power button. Etc. It freezes when I try the master reset.

this is BS. Truck is a 2020 F250 Lariant and only has 47k miles.
