Recently picked up a 2000 7.3 excursion from AK 180k miles. Just had a new jasper trans installed and now working on some of the other smaller issues. After smoking the trans and installing new I want gauges so instead of doing the pillar gauges I went with the edge insight cts3. Unfortunately it will not connect or give me any info.. I tried the bluetooth obd2 with the torque app and no communication with the ecu. There is power to the obd2, when i plug in the insight it powers up just wont connect. Another issue with the truck is the wipers wont shut off unless I pull the #11 fuse. Not sure if there is a relay I'm missing or if it is in the wiper motor? Maybe the to issues are related? Any tips or advice is appreciated! Thanks
have you checked the wires to the obd2 plug to make sure they are not damaged or cut, ive seen it once or twice before, just because there is power doesn't mean the other wires are proper.

it is -20 degrees today so ill have to wait a few days before its warm enough for me to go check the wiring but I will give it a good look over. I have been reading other post that are years old on how to test the plug.
I had an issue with no connection from the obd2 port, turned out to be a short in one of the cigarette lighters. Disconnected that and it stopped killing the connection
With the wiper issue, I would check your wiper control as these are prone to malfunction. Have your wipers going and go through all of the wiper settings slow/fast/slow and see if you can get them to stop.

I replaced the switch and that was the issue with that! Thanks
Now if I can only figure out why my cts3 wont upload any PIDs
