During the Daytona rain delay, I made a transmission stand following one that Mart made over on the fordbarn. It works pretty good. I think I am going to make a rear support for it to take some of the weight off the front bellhousing - welded frame that bolts to the legs so it can be removed for service work. Keeps it off the ground and should make a nice rebuilding stand.
Slick! I ended up using a bit of foam rubber to keep the trans in place on my workbench, along with a 2x4 clamped to the edge to keep it from rolling off. I think your rig would work better though!
