I know the old Dodge trucks with the five lug bolt pattern fit our larger trucks but I don't know if the six lug bolt pattern on the old Dodges fit the later large trucks. This was listed on FB in AZ within the last day. Price seems fair, free. If someone could use these and lives near the truck you might be able to get one more hard to find item for your truck.
free 61 studebaker v8 champ and 70s? d500... come and get em! stude will run with power and gas, dodge is not stuck turns by hand.. both have no beds and have tires that will be ok for rollers
The picture isn’t clear enough to show whether they are stud piloted or hub piloted. Clearly 6 x 8.75”, but of the mounting system I can’t tell. I’m not aware of any Dodges of the era that were hub piloted, but we know that ‘63/‘64 Ford F-600s were hub piloted, so maybe some Dodges were too. Stu
Yeah, that’s why I hedged. If they are hub piloted, the only Ford to ever use that combo was the F-600 of ‘63 or ‘64. But like you saw, they are locking side ring style where any of the F-600s would have had widow makers. So for those guys they’d be a great find. Stu
Thanks Stu, I was hoping you'd comment. I don't know anything about the post '52 wheels but I know they became six lug somewhere along in line. The price is right is someone needs them and can use them. I'll post this in the newer forum. If some one is local and wants them the price is right, drag the truck to a scrap yard, take the wheels off and maybe get a couple bucks for the carcass.
Reposting in the big truck forum would get you the F-600 guys with the ‘63s and ‘64s. Plus, I’ll look through the books to see if any Dodges really did use the hub piloted mounting. Stu
