They snap onto the lugs, and I believe the bolt pattern is the same for all 8-lug wheels on Super Duties from '99-16 at least, maybe including the latest generation, I'm not sure.
They may have a clearance issue on the rear, the newer more shallow caps might not have room inside them to cover the axle ends and still snap tight to the wheel. Otherwise, they are all the same lug type and pattern. And those fronts work very well with Warn locking hubs which are shorter than the factory auto hubs, the taller older caps have a little gag between the Warns and the face of the cap.

I realize the front suspension changed...as well as the wheel offset...but are the rear axle assemblies different in 2005?

The rear axle wheel mating surfaces were expanded in '05 along with the fronts to have them match, I think out back it's just thicker hub lands but maybe the actual housings are wider....? I haven't tried the newer caps on mine but I think the older rigs may have too much axle poking through for the shallow newer caps to fit, but I hope that I'm wrong about that.

Makes since given don't see anyone swapping them. I like the fact that they appear easier to clean! For $20 I may try them. I do have a set of the Limited square lug cover tops that I intend on using...but would like something easier to clean on the wife's Excursion. The Excursion is a 2wd which makes it a bit more difficult to find 4 non hole wheel covers.
