21 f250 XLT, 6.7 diesel, bought Jan 9th. 26 miles when I got it, drove it home from the dealer that day and the sync screen started doing random stuff. Stays locked on the nav screen and the location bounces all over the globe. Can't use any button on the screen. Dealer is over 100 miles away so I used the local one. They have replaced the APIM module that didn't fix it, reprogramed it/ made sure all software is up to date. Then tell me it needs the telematic control module. Even doing the sync reboot using the power and the seek up buttons doesn't fix anything.
I drive it for a few days while waiting on backordered module. It came in earlier then they expected, installed it and they said it didn't fix the problem. They are running more tests today. Anyone ever have an issue like this.
I believe they already did the reprogram, but I'll suggest that tsb to them tomorrow. I hadn't seen that one yet.
Hopefully they aren't gonna just throw parts at it.
So to update this one, they installed the telematic control module and that still didn't fix it. They then ordered a gps antenna. Installed it this past weekend after the snowstorm of a week we had. (they had my truck the whole week). Still didn't fix the problem. They sent a hotline issue to ford and ford has instructed them to order the audio control module. They have had the truck for almost 3 weeks now and replaced several parts with the issue still present. I did get the ford customer service number from the manager and spoke to a guy about all the issues. If this doesn't work, does anyone know what the process is for requesting a buy back from ford.
I bought it Jan 9th and it's been in the shop since the beginning of Feb.
A little secret, the modem won't work during the "Free Trial" only after you start paying for service with AT&T Car Connect will you have enough data to stream.
