DIY Sill Scuff “Plates”

Skid Guard Tread

Front door install

Rear door install
Made these out of skid guard for steps, cut to fit length and width and rounded the corners. Set of three for about $21 at the local big box home improvement store. They don’t say SuperDuty, but still look good imho.

Looks good. I used those on the steps of the rv for better traction for the dogs. I believe I'll copy you.

That is a great idea. I have a velocity blue also and can see what is would look like on mine before I do it.

Good idea! I have the Morryde fold out steps, I’ll have to go look and see if I could use it there too.

There was no pads on the back section of the steps which made it slippery. Those scuff pads worked perfectly.

Nice idea.I did something similar with some carbon fiber look wrap I had laying around.Works good to keep the scratches down.

I like that too….and yes I had my 18 black f150 all scratched up. So either of theses solutions will definitely help keep that down.

I bought some skateboard tape form online 10"x48" for $10 and cut enough for all four doors, you can get it in all sorts of colors and designs
