Yes, it means it is built but waiting on some electronic boards. Every brand is having to do that Ford has even cut som shifts because of it.

Thank you TJ, that’s how I read it too. It just seems odd some people get theirs quickly and some don’t.
it is chip shortage you think? I wonder how long it will last.

No think to it. I get news from Ford Authority and Ford Owners that said they are building and parking vehicles waiting for electronic modules. it isn't just affecting trucks but the entire line. I was lucky when I ordered my F150 in 2018 the wait had been just over 2 months, I got mine one week short of 2 months. This will probably be the last new truck I buy.
I ordered my 2021 Lariat 1/30 - the date continues to be pushed back. At first the build was scheduled for the first week of April, then pushed back to week of 4/12. Saw on the news that the shortage of microchip is causing the Dearborn plant to be shut down for the weeks of 4/5 and 4/12, and the KC plant on the truck side is already shut down week of 4/5. Reached out to the dealer for an update this morning to see if there was an update and no luck yet with an update.
Reading this thread it sounds like getting to the build is just part 1, getting the computer chip is part 2, and then transportation is part 3. I hope the truck comes eventually!
Tiger, if you think yours is bad, I ordered mine 12-02-2020 and mine hasn't even made it to production yet and doesn't show a scheduled production date. The 22's will be out before I get my 21' that I ordered in 2020!
At this rate, and with the news I'm seeing on chips/pvc/materials, I'm hoping by mid summer. I didn't order anything that was a production hold (reclining seats, HD axle, etc) at the time of order.
I think all the issues including modules is impacting a lot of things. I am near Springfield MO and went to a local dealer intending to order a new F-150. Just so happened they had one on the lot with almost everything I wanted and the color I wanted. I know dealers have been waiting for months for stock. My truck came off the line 3/17/21 and was at the dealers lot first week of April and I took delivery. I suspect getting dealer stock out may be taking transportation priority.
I placed my F-150 order on 6 March 2021. Was told 3 months to arrive give or take. I had wanted the hybrid but was told that would take 9 months, so I went with the 3.5L.
This week I am sent an update that the ETA is Halloween. 8 months from order.
The truck was off the assembly line 28 April, but is missing parts (chips). Its basically sitting in a field somewhere aging while I wait. I am likely doing to have to rent or buy and old truck in the next 4 weeks because I need one for the summer (which is why I ordered in March!)
