Okay guys, I figured I would start a new thread from my old one as I wrote a final reply with my water leak issue, however the new solid glass doesn’t appear to fit flush or slightly behind the body all the way around.
the drivers side top corner sticks out maybe a 1/8 inch. Nevertheless you can see the edge of the glass. Something small I know but I’m OCD. I guess I don’t know if it was like that before just been looking close since the window swap. Post up some pictures of yours. Is it even all the way around? Passenger side, flush, slightly inward. Perfect Drivers side, slightly outward, can see edge towards top.
I used to be OCD and would notice small details like this. Glad I'm not OCD anymore. It was stressful.
I mean, I can see the clips up top they appear pushed in as far as they can be from what I can tell.. maybe the window isn’t perfect or the cab isn’t perfect. Hard to say just figured I would reach out and see if anyone else has noticed this, that would put my mind at ease.
Your back window is perfect. It's perfect because it's not leaking or cracked. It's doing its job.
Hopefully that’s the case! I just had the solid one installed two days ago because my sliding one was leaking, and the slider track/tray was cracked creating condensation inside!
I don't want a slider but it came with the truck. I have OCD ... but I also want to know why its not flush with the cab...My mind wants to know is it the glass, the cab or the install...Over time I might let it go,,but every time I would wash my truck or glean the glass all those darn thoughts and feelings would come back,
Who did the install? I would go back and ask why....and to the point of I want them to try again and show me why its not flush on both sides.
The last time I had a vehicle with a rear window not looking quite right, it turned out to not be quite right. Granted, this wasn't a truck, and I was alerted to it by a whistling sound when driving (especially at highway speeds). Took it to the dealer and they did some sort of air leak test inside the cabin and found the rear window to not be sealed properly, so there was a small gap, but big enough for air to pass through. Interesting trying to justify while a 25k mile car needs a new rear window, but I figured the previous owner must have had it replaced for some reason (or worse yet - a factory defect left without question).

I honestly can't remember. It didn't leak any water when it rained and such (or at least not in any noticeable way/amounts), but I've always subscribed to the idea that if something isn't as it should be, you're signing up for other, potentially worse, issues down the road (pun intended).
im assuming nobody else’s is like this though haha
I'll take a look at mine tomorrow.
I dread having windshields(and back glass) replaced for reasons like this, in my experience the installers care more about speed than perfection. Not saying that is true in your case, it might be something out of the control of the installer.
With windshields on other vehicles I've had rust from improper removal or prep techniques, I've had air leaks, I've had them set too far in causing obnoxious sounds from rubbing on trim parts. I'm so gun shy with glass replacements that I haven't pushed my dealer hard to get my rear glass replaced for the defective defroster grid lines.

I wouldn’t have for that either, unfortunately mine was leaking water..
Yep, water leaks are not good. Is the reveal on the drivers side the same all the way down, that 1/8"?
no just towards the top corner. That’s why it seems odd. Granted the tabs on the window appear to be bottomed out against the cab. Maybe the window isn’t perfect.. maybe the body isn’t perfect.. hard to say
