66 or 63 frame?

66 or 63 frame?
I have two trucks a 66 and a 63. The 66 is in really bad shape an dthe 63 is realy good shape but i dont like the 50's style bed on it. so I want to do a rebuild with the cab from the 63 and the bed from the 66 i also what the put in a 460 and c6. I know that if i use the 66 i will have to fab the rad and cab mounting points. But if i use the 63 i will have to fab the engine and trans mounts. which is my better option?

I would use the '66 frame. The Twin I Beam suspension is easy to convert to disc brakes, and swapping in a 460 isn't hard. Only thing you can't do easily with an I-Beam truck is drop the front.

You'll have a little trouble on the front cab mounts because they are different. But other than that it's not too bad. From 65 to 79 the mounts are the same. 61-64 F-100 is by itself.
