I installed DC interior this weekend and thought I would post some pictures. When I was looking for pictures I couldn't find any, and thought this could help somebody in the future. The headliner was the most time consuming. I used water like DC instructions suggested and the back of the headliner conformed to the shape of the roof with essay. The back panel took some time to figure out how to install.
Next is to redo the bench seat and carpet. For you guy that have carpet, what do you do for access to the battery?
Excellent job with the headliner. Looks great. For your carpet and battery lid question, the answer is custom carpet floor mats. Install the carpet and trim/finish around the lid opening so the lid can be installed. Paint the lid to match the carpet color so it doesn't look out of place and finished when lifting the mat. You can lay a piece of jute over the top of the lid to match the thickness of the carpet, then your custom carpeted floor mats, made from the same material as the rest of your carpet so they fit right, look right and blend in, will cover the lid perfectly. No one would know it's there. Alternatively, you'd have to devise in some type of flap in the carpeting and secure the edges with velcro or something. It may not end up as nice as you'd like.
That looks real good. What did you have to do on the back panel to get it to work?
If you look at the back panel you can see a thread line under the window that's where they sewed on a black piece material, that's on the back side of the panel. That piece slides between the window frame and rear body panel. the back panel has two lines about an inch from the bottom that's where I bended panel out so it can sit on the floor bracket. I'm not sure if that is the correct but it looked good to me.

They are from Dennis Carpenter, so I think they are factory reproductions.
I noticed after I bought my untouched 55 F350 that the original headliners had a grain to it. The reproduction headliners and kick panels are just grey cardboard. So I kept my original headliner in my 55 even though it had a big crack in it.
If I owned a stock Deluxe Cab (53-54) or a Custom Cab (55-56) I'd be ticked since no one reproduces the stock style perforated headliner.

Us deluxe/Extra Cab guys from 51-2 have the same issue. I often think about how much work it would be to lay out and hand punch all those little holes to make the headliner look correct. It gives me a headache.
