I read the article on the actuator replacement & the instructions worked fine right down to where the rod was to come out. My problem is the rod does not, will not come out of the actuator.
Am I missing something? Open for any suggestions. Need help.
I don't know what article you are talking about but I've never seen an actuator where the rod should be removed. The new actuator comes with a new rod already installed which you should use. The rod should be removed from the door latch assembly.

There is a link to the article on www.ford-trucks.com. "09/16 1987 - 1996 F-Series / Bronco Power Door Lock Actuator Replacement"
If the rod doesn't come out of the actuator how do I unhook the rod from the door lock? At this point any help would be greatly appreciated.
There is a clip that hold the rod tight to door lock. Probably your are trying to remove the new stile rod actuator wich hac a double 90 degress angle which is little more difficult to remove.
