Any clue where the 5 clips that attach the hood molding to the hood can be purchased? All I've been able to find is a set of clips for the entire truck. I don't need 44 of them, just the ones for the hood molding! And I probably don't even need all 10.
Run a search (Restoration Specialties and Supply). Large selection of automotive hardware. Used them for replacing many of the rusted speed nuts, screws, and retaining clips. Purchase only the number of items you need.
Thanks! I'll check them out although I was able to fabricate the three I needed.
Used some thin galvanize I had laying around from a furnace replacement. Cut two pieces, drilled a hole, threaded a #8 stainless machine bolt threw it, and it worked. Not perfect, but since I only needed 3 it worked just fine.
Autozone or Pep Boys---go to the HELP! section and they have a large selection of universal fit trim clips. I just bought a bunch for my '65 CC.
They run about $1.75 each
