Has anyone on here tried running Ram specific Alcoas on an F-350 DRW? As of 2019 or 2020 model year, we have the same bolt circle and hub size, just wondering if I could pick up a set of take offs from that camp...
Hub and bolt circle are the same, but the Ram wheels are only 6 inches bead width (the minimum recommended size for the 235 tire), compared to 6.5 for Ford (6 inch rims are not recommended at all for 245 tires). In normal unloaded driving, that may not be an issue... but in hauling/towing heavy loads, that is a warranty/insurance rejection issue if something [bad] happens.

Either way, I'm not overtly concerned with the width. I'm putting 285/75/17's on my current Ford or the Ram wheel and I understand it's outside of recommended dimension on both. I spent the last two years on 35/12.5/20s on 8" wide wheels without an issue and there are lots of people who run that tire size on those rims with both brands. I've mainly been wanting to see if anyone on here has noticed the switch on Ram's bolt circle which now matches our Fords. Alcoa makes a pretty decent wheel, and I like the design on them better than our Aluminum wheels.

The Ram wheels are not Alcoa. They are imported like the OEM Fords.
AFAIK, there is not an 8*200 mm wheel offering made by Alcoa.

Well that made me start digging... I think you're right, they newer wheels are no longer made by Alcoa, they just kept the design and had a cheaper manufacturer produce them without the brand recognition. That's unfortunate and makes the take offs less valuable, at least in my opinion, but I still might look at it. I have probably about 6 months left on my current tires and that's when decisions will need to be made. Thanks for the heads up.
that’s a great site and they are very responsive folks
they have a clearance section with returns that have minor blemishes marked down pretty good
i want to buy their 22.5X6.5 rims , it the wife says my 12 aluminum 19.5 X 6.0 rims have to go. I’ll probably buy the 22.5’s after I get my covid shot.
if I kick the buck due to covid, the wife has no use for 22.5 rims
It's sad really that it takes so much work to find an American Company that manufacturers their product in America. I work for a large tech company and it's no different with us or our vendors. I think Unions were, at one point in history, a great defender of employee rights, but in this day and age, all they do is hurt American Manufacturing. Honda and Toyota can build a superior product in our own country at a lower cost because they don't have to deal with the UAW and all our politicians want to do is raise the minimum wage for unskilled labor while destroying the industry that employs skilled labor

Well put! Hits you right in the feels.
On a positive note: I chatted with the folks at buytruckwheels.com and they confirmed that both the Alcoa and Accuride 19.5" wheels for the F450 are made in America!
Now, I need to sell my Chinese wheels to someone who isn't as picky as I am and get me some wheels that I can be proud to own - Alcoa DuraBright. That, and find a tire shop that won't ding them up when mounting our tires...
