gt 40Y heads and max lift/dur. cam?

Whats up everyone?
New to this great board and I have some questions concerning a 93 302 Bronco e40d s.d. I own a set of aluminum gt40y heads and was wondering if these heads would fit without valve/piston clearance issues? Would there be any performance gain using them? Would a bigger cam help? The valves I believe are 1.94 in. 1.54 ex. I've never been into this motor before and was wondering if it had notches in the pistons or a roller cam? I have a feeling it is a flat tappet cam and cast flat top pistons with no notches. Would this be correct? I dont have the time or space to put in a larger motor and the e40d makes me a little nervous about doing a mass air conv. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
