Fried Squirrel anyone?

This is probably the dumbest question I've ever had...but we're buds here.

Why don't squirrels get electrocuted on power lines? I watch three or four of them scamper across the road on power lines the other day. I've never really noticed that before.

They are only touching one at a tme AND their body doesn't have enough mass to produce an arc between the other lines.

also, they are not grounded. You could hang from a power line all day with no problems, besides being tired. But, as soon as you touch the pole or the ground, you are a gonner. Stay Safe....Jay

Every now and then we get a fried-squirrel power outage. A transformer goes, people complain, the power company blames the squirrel.
wabiker, I like squirrel pot pie. Stew sounds good though. Hmm it's small game season...
