Hey thanks for the reply, I went to the closest Mobil station and they checked each fuse under the hood and the one inside the little black box, They were fine after he blew 2 sets of the same fuses which were replased free of charge, and then he rechecked all fuses again, So I'm not sure if we did check out the Instrument Cluster fuse or did we? other then that I need some more help, I need to see how fast i am goin at night I can picture it now

I just bought some new Fuses at Wal-mart wasted about $5.02, I rush home and try to put the Fuses in got some in to test them with my test light they wouldn't light up So I switched them again they still wouldn't light the Tester up, but others that were giving me a Light up before still worked. No I dunnoProfanity Removedis the problem and no one seems to give a danm to help me. SO if your gonna read the thread atleast try and help!.
Trying to diagnose a problem like this is a real pain. If you have a multi testet and the Chilton or Haynes manual you should be able to test each of the fuse sockets for the correct voltage. If any are out of wack, then you will need to start replacing some wires. Hope that helps some.
if you really cant figure it out, and dont want to spend the money for a new mechanic, i would get 20$ white face gauges. they wouldnt solve the problem completely but you would be able to see at night and they look hot as hell
You need to test the power on the illumination wire you touched. Find out if you have any power coming to it. If not, you are going to have to trace the wire all the way back to the source. You are also going to have to trace you dash illumination back and find the problem. If all of your fuses are still in tact and are not blowing, you either have a wire that got smoked, or either the headlight switch or the illumination roller switch got smoked.
Next - I would suggest trying to be a little more cooperative on a message board. Posting comments like you did above can turn people off from wanting to help you. Trying to force people to reply never works...
Well ,I bought a crap load of fuses and a test light for a grand total of around 20 bucks. ok I tested each fuse, some lit up others didn't, so I switched the ones that didn't light up with the colors/amp that matched, and when I did they still didn't light up only the same ones as before. So I dunno if it's a wiring prob or not it wold be awsome if you guyz can tell me what it is from what you've heard. Thanks
Also, Sorry for my rudeness last post, I was gettin' mad cause people would take a look and then leave and not help. Also, thanks for the replies
When you are checking the fuses, are you checking the ones on the side of the dash, and under the hood? If everthing is ok under the hood, i.e. evertyhing tests out ok, and you go the fuses on the side of the dash and your problems are there... then you need to check the wiring between the power distribution block under the hood and the fuse panel inside.
well what do you know I chnaged fuses everything works except the panel lights unless I turb the dimmer all the wya to the point where it is turning on the dome lights then they turn on so does anyone know what this means?
You probably burned the switch. Since it is a roller type switch, you probably bunrned the contacts out. If you check the wires running to the switch, and everything is good, then you should probably replace the switch.
Alright, I will do that tommorow in the afternoon and see whats going on I did unscrew the switch but didn't see anything that I would know so I, will try my best to describe it tommorow so that you guyz can help thanks. I will talk to yall tommorow
