Are there any hard covers out there that are four sections for a 8 ft bed? Looking for a folding cover that I can fold up and leave in place when I’m using my gooseneck. Looked at JE942010 and the Extang 2.0 sits a little high but that may be the only option. Had an extang Tri Fold on my 2013 and it was quite heavy to take off and on. Thanks
Here are pics of the open height at the front and rear of the cover. If you have a gooseneck you should be fine with a 4 fold cover. I needed something without rails mounted inside the bed rails. Ive seen a few people have minor contact with the pin box and rails so I wanted to go with a cover without any. I know it was probably a weird angle and other factors that came into play when it happened but I figured better safe than sorry.
I had the Extang Solid Fold on my previous 2 F-150s and have ordered a new 2.0 version for my 2020 F-250. I really liked the fit, low profile, and easy to take on and off features.
I took these pictures on my F-150 prior to selling it last fall. The cover was 8 years old and still looked good with no leaks at the seals.
Im not a big fan of the flush mount style. I really like this cover. I can leave my 5th wheel hitch installed and it covers it nicely. Also adds a little bit of extra security to the bed. Is say that with a grain of salt I guess. Out of sight out of mind kind of deal.
