So rare I've never heard nor seen such a vehicle? Anyone else? Can't see anywhere on the vehicle where is says Bronco. One photo of the front shows "Centurion" and back in the day did some stretching of Ford vehicles
Yep, those are rare, made by Centurion (and a couple of other makers, not to mention one offs from individuals), and generally considered 4 door broncos. There's even a website for owners. www.fourdoorbronco.com I personally would love to have a 2nd gen version. I don't think any of the commercial enterprises were doing them during that time, but I've seen some nice custom examples. Since I am unlikely to have enough money to buy a crew cab to cut up and attach Bronco to, I will probably have to see about importing a B100 from south of the border and frame swapping it onto a 4x4 chassis if I ever am able to start that sort of a project.
It was the Forbearer to the Excursion. Centurion went under when Ford stopped production of the OBS trucks. Ford saw there was a market for the big suv and produced the Excursion.
An F350 diesel Centurion is real pricey. The last one I saw on went for close to 30K. It was in real fine shape. The diesel Ex's are starting to get pricey also. The Centurion has all the ruggedness of the Ex with the OBS dependability. A 7.3 diesel or push rod 460 OBS is hard to beat. Non of the smog and electrical gremlins.
