Grilled

Hey guys,

Short question today. I bought my truck used and it was missing one of the grille inserts on the drivers side. I have a picture of the passenger side one attached. I don't know what this is called and I would like to get one so that my truck looks nice. I took the passenger side out so it at least looked symmetrical. Where would I be able to find just the insert. I do not want or need a new grille, just this little part.
any help appreciated!

what year is your truck... that grill piece does not look familiar... Is this the UPPER grill above the bumper... and you have two halves ?

OK......... is this the vertical piece at each end of the grill ? Dont appear to be amy on e-bay... might need to check local yards.

Sorry, it’s a 2012 3.5 ecoboost xlt. The picture you have is correct but it’s just the smaller grid insert on the drivers side that I’m missing. Been checking the yards but frankly there aren’t many newer trucks in them, and if there are they are usually heavily picked over. I check anytime I go in to find a part for my 94. Figured I’d see if anybody had a website or part number I could order one

Can't buy just the 1 piece, you have to buy an entire new grille. Any grille from a 2009-2014 except Raptor will fit.

there are aftermarket GRILLS or INSERT KITS on e-bay pretty cheap... You would get the new left, right and center sections that all match... but aftermarket.

Grill Insert

I bought a grill for a 2013 F150 XL and the mounting tabs were broken making it unusable. I was able to remove the inner black grill without breaking anything. I have to say that Ford doesn't intend for these to come apart. It probably took me an hour to get it apart by myself. A couple extra hands would have helped. The key to removing is to have multiple thin blade knives to insert between the locking tabs as you pry it apart. A real pain to do but doable. As you know Ford doesn't sell this separately. I would sell just the insert for $50 plus shipping. Looking at your picture I'm not sure this is the same. One of my pictures shows a part # of 9L348200 D0 stamped in it.

Those are engineering numbers not part numbers.

I figured as much since Ford doesn’t sell this part. Thought it would help someone to see if it was the same as theirs
