Short question today. I bought my truck used and it was missing one of the grille inserts on the drivers side. I have a picture of the passenger side one attached. I don't know what this is called and I would like to get one so that my truck looks nice. I took the passenger side out so it at least looked symmetrical. Where would I be able to find just the insert. I do not want or need a new grille, just this little part.
any help appreciated!
Sorry, it’s a 2012 3.5 ecoboost xlt. The picture you have is correct but it’s just the smaller grid insert on the drivers side that I’m missing. Been checking the yards but frankly there aren’t many newer trucks in them, and if there are they are usually heavily picked over. I check anytime I go in to find a part for my 94. Figured I’d see if anybody had a website or part number I could order one
there are aftermarket GRILLS or INSERT KITS on e-bay pretty cheap... You would get the new left, right and center sections that all match... but aftermarket.
I bought a grill for a 2013 F150 XL and the mounting tabs were broken making it unusable. I was able to remove the inner black grill without breaking anything. I have to say that Ford doesn't intend for these to come apart. It probably took me an hour to get it apart by myself. A couple extra hands would have helped. The key to removing is to have multiple thin blade knives to insert between the locking tabs as you pry it apart. A real pain to do but doable. As you know Ford doesn't sell this separately. I would sell just the insert for $50 plus shipping. Looking at your picture I'm not sure this is the same. One of my pictures shows a part # of 9L348200 D0 stamped in it.
