Park Safety Switch Issues
My 2017 Expedition Platinum has had an ongoing issue for about a month. The car will drive and shift into park properly, but the "P" on the dash indicating that it is in park does not light up. When you shut the car off the guage lights wont turn off, the "Transmission not in park" light chimes and lights up when you open the door, and remote start doesn't work. Because the lights stay on constantly, it drains the battery within a few days. Before I go tearing the console apart, I would like to figure out what to look for and how to fix it.
