the most quiet?

got my lariat super cab,4x2 a week ago, haven't driven it too much yet. still have to sell my 02 gmc sierra and need to work out of it until i sell it but i'm not sure why all reviews rave about how quiet the new ford is, yeah it's quiet but i'll have to admit the gmc might be a little quieter at all speeds. but then again they feel like your're driving your father's buick and the door seals creaking add annoying noise. seems like there is more engine noise from the 5.4 than gmc's engine. any comments on quietness of f-150?

using equipment that measures decibels, the 04 is the "quietest pickup in its class" . Bar none.

i will find out soon. my 04 is in, and i think i have my 01 screw sold.

the engine noise id due to the fact that the 5.4 is an overhead cam engine. the GM, of course, a pushrod.

Seen the Ford commercial demonstrating how quiet it is going over a simulated potholed road? Hilarious of you're a Scab owner.
Fact of life: Without a center post between the doors, they rattle over very rough spots like RR tracks. But it's something I can live with for the convenience of suicide-doors.

My Lariat Scab does not rattle.
It is not as quiet as most $30,000
cars but at 70 mph there is no
rattles or wind noise.

This Truck Is Quiet.

After reading Dr No's post, I got to wondering if something was wrong with my truck.
Went out, opened and closed all the doors.
Closing, not slamming (and left a window down).
Rattles gone. Old fart...new truck.
Original topic: This is the quietest truck I've ever had the pleasure of being in.
I still have my 95 Town Car and no, it's not that quiet.
It's a truck!
