i think the 4 door treatment on regular cabs will become standard as soon as the other manufacturers can catch up. The extra 7 inches or so behind the seat hold golf clubs, tools, etc. The stretch regular cab is a large improvement in my opinion. Also extra room for installing boom box, amps,etc if you are into sounds. Extra doors are a nice touch. Down side is the extra weight for those who strictly want speed but that isnt a problem for me.
i wouldnt call it a "bad" blind spot at all but the driver needs to get used to vehicle and that's about it. Side door mirrors (and rear mirror) are fine to navigate with so long as they are correctly adjusted.
