Exhaust Into The Cab. . . .HELP
So it just started getting cold here in PA and I had the windows up today while I was driving. As I accelerated some faint smoke looking fumes came into the cab. After closer inspection I found that it was exhaust coming in through the steering column. Right in-between the steering wheel and the plastic cover that covers wires. I looked under the cab and saw that I had a crack in the manifold, but that is entirely too expensive to fix right now. So my question is, what do you suggest I do in the mean time? Where exactly do you think it’s coming in from and how could I fix it?

So I think I found the leak: Inside the engine compartment there is a rubber boot that covers the steering rod close to the firewall. My boot is completly ripped; could it be comming in from here?
