Remote Starter ?????
Can I put a remote starter in my 93 F350 diesel thats a standard shift ???
If so I will get one but I always thought you couldn't in standards until someone said they did in a gas standard truck ....
does anyone know more about this ???

I have always been told that you can't put them on a manual transmission. Every remote starter I have seen has said that it will only work with automatics, but I havn't seen everything and there might be something out there that would work.

Yes you can get remote starters for manual shift. I have used one before. It must be left in neutral (of course) and the parking brake must be set for it to funtcion. I have also heard of remotes specially made for diesels that use the wait to start (gps) light to go off before cranking, and if memory serves me correct it can be set to try up to 3 times before you have to hit the button again. It can also be set to auto start the truck at preset intervals.(ie every 3,4,5 hours. user defined)
