Has anyone ever changed the front headlight assembly on a ford p|u?
I have the new one here to put in but the more i looked at getting the old one out, the more i realized i would have the front of the truck apart just to do it.
can anyone tell me how to change this out without taking the front end completely apart?
Does it have the two pull up clips at the top of the assembly? My 2001 does and I believe that this is how you remove it. Just pull up the two tabs and it will come out.

lxman1 is dead on. If your truck is a 97 and newer, tools aren't even required (although a screwdriver is helpful as a prybar) to remove the headlight assy. Look for the little handles behind the headlight at the top, on each side. (There are two) Pull them up. Look carefully, there is a little tab that keeps them from accidently coming up (like that would happen..) and you have to pull them Hard, all the way up. They come up about an inch. Then wiggle the headlight out the front. I put new lights and corner lights in mine, in a matter of minutes. (See my gallery) Good luck!
On high beam they sure are, but low beam looks about the same. (Which is good, the stock lights were fine, better than many vehicles I've owned.) They used the stock bulb for the larger light, and I used a relay to connect the little light to the high beams. They came with a harness and a dash switch, but the last thing I need is another switch on the dash. Got them off Ebay...
