I would pay money for a device that put S/S and the drive mode in whatever state they were in when I shut the vehicle off.

I got myself a voltage displaying power port, because I don't have any hobbies. . . . . "high score" is 15.1V, see 15.0V pretty often. "low score" is 12.0V when at red light with auto-start-stop has shut off the engine.

you are right that after a while, the voltage goes back to around 13v.

I live near Raleigh NC. When the summer is in the high 90s and the Raleigh stop lights are exceptionally long, cycling the AC can't be good for capacitors, animals, or people. I just think the whole deal was to make the Feds give Ford a higher mileage rating. At least Ford has the ability to turn it off. Speaking of technical elegance screwing the pooch, I still can't get power to my 5th wheel lights or my flatbed after checking continuity on 6 different fuses in 2 locations. It still could be my problem so I'm going to back out my Hopkins in-bed 7-pin connector wiring and put it back to stock to see if that fixes it.

I use this - For AS/S this remembers last state after keycycles https://www.autostopeliminator.com/p...top-eliminator

For drive modes, there is a company that makes a drive mode "timer" that essentially pulses the signal after start-up. I don't have much info on that since I use normal mode nearly every day.

Thanks for the link, and the heads up on the drive mode one. That's exactly how I'd approach the problem, pulsing the switch circuitry to get the mode I want, which is usually "Eco".

I second the Autostop Eliminator as shown above. Best $100 I've spent and straightforward website, helps you pick the correct switch face to match the factory setup. Easy install from the top side of the dash.
