Replace steering column?

Hello. I have posted on here about some issues I am having with my 1991 E150, You folks have given me some great advice, and I hope to resolve those issues soon. While this truck is having issues with fuel and running, I am also getting desperate for a steering column. Had an AOD column with tilt and cruise in it. It locked up the way they tend to when the
"lock actuator" breaks. Long story short- a buddy said he could repair it, so I pulled the column and left it with him. Then I pulled a column from a donor van -C6, no frills and put it my van, sacrificing the cruise control.. Time passed and I went to collect my original column, if he didn't or couldn't repair I would find some one else to do it.....Well it don't exist anymore, he thinks it was left in the bed of a truck he junked. I have not been able to find a column except for the vultures on Ebay wanting 400 bucks. Does any one know if a column from an F150 will work in an E150? Don't really need tilt but would like to have my cruise back as well as proper detents for the AOD. Any one have a column they could part with?

Your info shows that you are in Florida.. the U-Pull-&-Pay in Orlando is showing to have a 1991 and a 1989 Econoline but the site didn't show if they are 150, 250, or 350's.
If you look at Rock Auto for steering gear box, they show to be the same gear box E150-E350 as well as 88-91. I do not know about the column itself would think it may be the same... Maybe some of this helps..

Thanks for your reply, you have also replied to my other post about my fuel / running issues. I am actually outside of Jacksonville, in Orange Park Florida. Orlando is quite a distance from me, but I may have to take the trip. Hate to go the distance and find it's already picked clean. I have been told that while physically similiar, the E150 column may be longer, this is what I am trying to find out.

go to Car-Parts.com and search nationwide for a column that fits your van.

Thanks, I'll do that. Just trying to be frugal....I have seen vans posted by the local u pull it yards here but by the time I can get out to them, they are picked clean
I would even consider an entire van. I could strip it and scrap what's left.
