I just bought a 2021 F-250 Tremor 6.7 with the gooseneck package. I'm wondering if it can tow this 5th wheel, or if it is limited by capacity. I know the sticker capacities of the F-250, but I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything, as I've never towed or purchased a 5th wheel.
Well a F250 and a fifth wheel tend to not pair nicely because of the pin weight and low payload of a F250 even when equipped with the HCTP. Lots of multi page threads here on this. That trailer loaded is going to have a pin weight near 2400 pounds, add the fifth wheel slider and you are near 2700lbs. There goes all your payload.
JMHO............ I have owned many RV's............. to be blunt.......... You need to drop down to a 34'.........
Do you really need sleeping capacity for 10 people?

We need a bunkhouse layout for our 3 kids. Thank you for your advice!

It is much easier to find RV parking on shorter RV's.... Choice spots go to the smaller rigs... Big rigs go to the back or side lots. Stay away from a bumper pull.... Calculate your "Overall Length".... Many places in America still have a Maximum Length roadway.

Got it, we're good on spots because we booked based on a 39' length RV just to be safe. Do you know confidently that this 5er is too big for our rig?
Your truck will handle it fine, empty..... Now, how many pounds of kids stuff, wife's stuff, your stuff, food, toy's, electronics, firewood, tables and chairs, water hoses, full grey and black tanks and a full water reservoir do you think you will be adding to the empty weight ?
The Tremors all come with the F350 suspension, so its technically an F350, BUT the sticker in the door is going to limit you legally so you just need to make sure you are within the payload limits of the truck unless you want to risk it.
I would probably say it's going to be too heavy legally. I'm assuming your payload with a tremor diesel is 2300? So 2 adults, 3 kids, and most likely a bunch of stuff loaded and most of the storage in that camper is well ahead of the axles. Which will be more weight transfered to the truck. I'm not sure that there are many 5th wheel bunk houses that you'll be able to do legally.
Figure Pin weight max properly loaded will be 15% of GVW 11,695 lbs = 1800 lbs, plus 5th wheel hitch, 600 Lb = 2400 lb. If you go to a goose hitch such as Anderson, which is far lighter, you gain some pin weight room. Your right at the max with only driver and full fuel tank. It will pull it fine, but really F350 is the better way to go to be strictly legal. I'm assuming you have gooseneck prep and 5th wheel prep? These trailers are not warranted converted to gooseneck, and safety chains are required. It can be done, but goose runs a little harder and bumpier in the cab compared to a air ride 5th wheel. You might also find the tremor ride a bit soft because its the 250, if it had the High Capacity Towing or the additional camper package overloads or airbags installed might be better, keep the truck level and handling correctly.
F-250 and bumper pull go together better than F-250 and fifth wheel. The bumper pull will have much less impact on your cargo capacity than will a fifth wheel trailer.
Let's say you have 2400 lbs of cargo capacity. Subtract off the top, the weight of your passengers and whatever they want to carry with them in the cab or bed. Call that 600 lbs. Subtract from that the weight of the hitch. That can be anywhere from 50 lbs to 300 lbs but let's call it 200. That's what's left for the trailer: 1600 lbs. The trailer in your link will have a pin weight of 2339 (20% of the 11,695 GVWR) at minimum.
Based on what I've seen of a couple of forum member's Keystone trailers (Montana model), I wouldn't touch a Keystone.
We've had nothing but bumper pull trailers with 3 kids and a dog and never an issue with 2500/250 series trucks or sleeping arrangements.
A 5th wheel would have been an issue though due to high demand on pickup bed......bikes, firewood, grill, small kayaks, bed was full.
You have a formidable tow vehicle with POWERFUL engine but unfortunately your going to have to succumb to it's payload and find a smaller 5th wheel or bumper pull that doesn't absorb all the payload.
That size 5th wheel is begging for an F350 DRW.
The 12'000 lb weight isn't an issue on that however the wind resistance of a 39' 5th wheel would be my concern. I would want a dually to regularly tow any 5th wheel over 35' because of the extra stability it provides.
