I am 16 and i have a 1991 ranger wirth a 3.0 V6 manual 5 speed, i was wondering if there is any way to improce horsepower and acceleration with out puting in a new engine or spending too much money
No, it would actually make everything flow faster, and give you some hp, but if you think your gonna be doing alot to with this truck as far as performance mods go, then i think you should get a high flow air intake. If you have your stock exaust (and youve taken a few welding classes and have access to a welder) then i'd make true dual exaust. That would help you get some hp out of your truck, and thats what i plan on doing as soon as get into my welding class
Making the intake and exaust breath a little easier will help some. Throttle response improves some as well. The best bang for the buck type of upgrade you can do is a turbo. That should get your mind thinking...mmm turbo, lol. You'd have to ask around to see what's available. I haven't a clue myself.
